Camping, Crater Lake and Swimming...

So we had a great time this last weekend camping. With a couple of side trips, it was great. We really enjoyed our time with the Family, all the kids seemed to have a great time. We camped along the river, but far enough away that it gave us Mom's a big sigh of relief. The older kids went swimming in the river but the younger kids just put their feet in with their parents dipping them in. The river was beautiful, but very cold. We took a little drive on Saturday over to Crater Lake, took in the view, took a few pictures, checked out the gift shop and then went over to diamond lake to go swimming. It was Abigails first time swimming, I mean staying in the water for more than a couple seconds. She officially went swimming, with lots of help from Mom, of course. It was fun seeing her face while we went back and forth in the swimming area, I really enjoyed that. Camping with a big group is always lots of fun, but maybe next time we will just go as a small family, just the three of us? Who knows, the only camping trip we have planned is with the other side of the family in August, so would be a bit spur of the moment... We shall see, plenty of weekends this summer open wide!
