Playing or sleeping

Here I am once again to play or really just get ready to fall asleep... Today was a great day for Abigail, she kept me on my toes during church and inside away from the service as she wasn't the happiest little girl that we always know, but then she calmed down and we had a terrific day... Lots of restful time for everyone. I even let Mom and Dad have some relaxation time.

Mom and I are taking a moment together before we go out...

Don't you just like this car seat, it is soo comfy.

I just finished 8ozs, can I really stay awake?

Time Flies!!!

Wow, time flies... We have been home over a week now and Abigail is just growing so much. On Monday she weighed in at 9lbs 12ozs! Yesterday (July 26th) she tried to grab her ladybug and was successful two times, that I saw anyway. She is just amazing and growing so much. I only have a couple of days before I have to go back to work, so I am taking in every moment I can... Here are our most recent pictures of our little bundle of JOY!

Look at me, I'm CUTE!

Abigail Visits Arkansas

Well, we made it! Abigail is visiting with Grannie, Papa, Great Grandma Angie, Aunt Mandi, Uncle Mark aand her cousins Ryan and Connor. It was not really a bad time of traveling, Abigail did great. People were so amazed when we got up to get off the plane that there was this little baby and they did not hear her. She ate when we took off and then again when we landed, with some sleeping in between. It was easier than I anticipated.

She has had some fun with her cousins and tries to reach for the toys on the activity mat. Great Grandma is even enjoying her lots. We had the 4 generations pictures taken on Friday and they turned out great, sorry cannot post those here.

I am enjoying the time with my family, although I really miss my husband. I LOVE YOU, Terry! Swimming lots and finally resting as needed ;) What a trip!

Abigails first Camping Trip

Wow, what a weekend! Terry and I got all packed up, including the new tent, borrowed Queen sized bed with Abigails little bed, extra diapers and clothes for our little girl and off we headed to the MacKenzie River. As we headed out we kept hearing on the radio the National Weather Service stating that if you were in the MacKenzie Bridge area that you needed to seek cover now because of the hail and Thunderstorm that was passing through at 15mph. That is just a couple of miles from where we were headed, but by the time we got there the ground was damp, but no sign of storms overhead.

Is it lunch time again?

Terry and I quickly set up our tent and got Abigail up to feed her and get settled into our campsite. Once we had settled down others from our group started to arrive. Dave, Jan and their son Dan got there and set up their tent and the kitchen area. Michelle, Claudelle and Don got there shortly after that. We all had a good time of sitting around the campfire and catching up on things that have happened throughout the past year.

Relaxation!

That night was a little cold but Abigail slept all night and we got up early, around 5am, to start our day feeding her, starting the campfire and getting the coffee going. Eggs and Bacon for breakfast, a long lazy day and then the group headed out on the raft, a little later than usual pushing almost 4pm. Kathy, Amy and Andrea showed up ten minutes or so before the group got back from the river trip and then we got dinner ready, Flank steak with Freshly made Chocolate Ice Cream for dessert! This is the way to camp! With memories of Brian this was a great way to celebrate the tradition that he started.

Taking a nap in Daddy's arms...

Saturday night brought another Thunderstorm with lightening and a little rain, a good excuse to head to bed a little early, around 9pm. It was a little nerve racking for me, but Terry was really quite calm and helped me to calm down and just enjoy our daughter. Yes we took a picture of her during her first Thunderstorm (of Course!). Sunday morning we had a good pancake breakfast, a reading of a couple of chapters of Romans, a time of relaxing and then the group headed back out on the river. They made Terry and I some spaghetti before we had to leave and they headed up to Belknap Hotsprings. It was so good to see everyone and have a relaxing time.

Staying safe in Daddy's arms during my first Thunderstorm!

Abigail enjoyed her time on the camping trip, although she never made it on the river and probably will not for several years, I pray that she enjoys this tradition in her life. I also pray that this is a yearly trip for many years to come!
