Grannie is Visiting...

Well my Mom is here and it has been such a joy to see her with Abigail. We have had so much fun. We went shopping on Friday and although we really did not buy much we had fun walking around trying things on and just hanging out together.

Saturday we went over to the Coast. It was such a beautiful day! The sun was shining, no one was at the restaurant when we got there and the beach had people but not too many that we were crowded. As you can tell from the pictures Abigail had a great time, as we all did. The temp was perfect and the breeze was calm...

Last Weekend...

Was so much fun. I tell you when we set up the tent after the weekend Abigail thought we were camping again and got so excited. It was hard for her to understand that we were not sleeping out in the backyard. I can definately see that we will be doing some yard camping as she gets older. She had fun playing in the dirt, sleeping in the tent and swimming in the River and I almost forgot that she had a blast on the slide in the little play area by the lake. So much fun.

Sorry it took so long to get this posted but working full time does have its disadvantages, although we are provided some luxury because I work so I guess it is all in the choices we make ;-)

This is the Deer that we saw before we took a 90 min tour through the Caves.

Then there are just a couple pictures from inside the cave and if you look closely at the last one you can see that we are standing under a fault line as evidence of the magma intrusion that splits almost center of the picture. Makes you think twice of standing under that line...

Lastly we got to go swimming in the river, the one reason that we head down here each year as the family camping, because it is warm enough to swim in and clean enough too...

Check out my new fort...

So I had to make Abigail a fort yesterday so that she would allow me to work. It was a difficult day as she was still a little sick from going to church this last weekend. Ok that is what we always say anyway - she could have gotten it somewhere else, but it always seems like she goes to childrens ministry and comes home with a cold - this time though it was a little more than just a cold. But I think we will be just fine today when she wakes up, she slept much better last night ;-) Anyway - she had a great time in the fort and loved it when I would check in on her...

The Fair...

We took Abigail to the County Fair last night and she had a great time.


At first she was not all that sure about the Animals but then we got to take her through the petting zoo and she loved it.





A little overwhelmed at all the different stuff to do and of course she loved the fair food. We only let her try some of the curly fries but I also had to get a funnel cake with powdered sugar (OOH those are my fav!) and she just could not get enough of that, but we only had a little and threw the rest away, just to much junk food ;-) Anyway here are a few pictures from the fair...
