Having a BLAST!

Well Abigail is having a great time playing with her cousins, going for boat rides and having her first sleep over... I am enjoying every minute of this trip, although missing Terry and wish that he could be a part of this. It has been great spending time with my family, even my sister ;-)

I thought you would enjoy seeing Abigail on her first boat ride, trying out some roller skating and spending time with 'her boys' as she calls them.

She thought she might try a little roller skating at one of the boys 5 birthday parties this week. They seem to have a few too many friends with birthdays all at the same time. We got to tag along when we wanted too.




The boys spent the night for Abigails first sleepover...


We took another boat ride out to a small waterfall, this time with the boys. It was so much fun.

May Flies...

SO we are learning that as the mayflies fly so do little girls. OK not really but it sure is nice to have some time to see how she does as the mayflies swarm. We are on vacation with my parents and are having a great time. Just want to share some pictures, mostly for Terry as he is still home taking care of the house. I miss you dearly and love you much Terry! Thought you might enjoy these...

Fishing with Papa and the mayflies. I tried as hard as I could to get a really great picture of the mayflies swarming and landing on us, but it is really hard to do. I have some great pictures of the limbs of these great big trees being weighted down by them, but thought it would be better if I remained with the primary subject - Abigail!

The memorial for Paula was amazing. It is so nice to know that she is home with the Lord. It makes it so much easier to say goodbye, at least for a little while. Terry wrote up something to express his thanks for how she shared her life and I want to share it with you.

"Even though Paula Hamilton wasn’t close to being old enough to be my mother I think I will always remember her in that role in my life. She took that responsibility on from the start when I was thrust rather abruptly into her life almost ten years ago.

During the three years or so that I lived with her family Paula consistently lived what I eventually came to recognize as God’s love being lived out in her on a daily basis, evidenced in her generosity, kindness,& especially her patience. I can only pray that some of that somehow rubbed off on me & also that her living out the Gospel of Christ in a real way may yet result in some to wonder about this God that she believed in.

Paula, thank you is not close to enough but…”thank you” & I think my daughter would say the rest the best; “Bye Granny Paula, see you soon”"

Cute Story.

As I am thinking about all the wonderful times that we have had with Paula, I thought about a recent visit with her and wanted to share...

We went out to visit a couple weeks ago and Paula was doing OK, still in her bed but able to hold a conversation and enjoy time with her granddaughter Abigail. Abigail saw the M & M's as soon as we got there and it only took a minute or two for her to start asking. Terry and I said that she needed to ask Papa Bob and well she did and he said yes. What Papa would not spoil their granddaughter - right? Anyway, he gave Abigail one and she took it right over to Grannie Paula and gave it to her and then went back and got another one. She ate that one but the third one she again took to Grannie. It was so nice to see her share with Grannie and it was fun that the two of them could enjoy their M & M's together.
